NurseElevator is Live: Empowering Healthcare Professionals to Transition into Medical Device Careers

If you’re curious about leaving the hospital, you’re on the right website.

I’m thrilled to announce that NurseElevator.com is officially live! This platform has been a dream of mine for years, and today marks the beginning of a journey to help nurses, radiology technologists, and other healthcare professionals explore the incredible opportunities available in medical device clinical and sales roles.

As someone who has walked this path, I’ve experienced firsthand the unique challenges and rewards of transitioning from bedside care to the world of medical devices. And let me tell you—it’s life-changing.

A New Vision for Healthcare Professionals

I envision a world where nurses, techs, and other healthcare workers use their clinical skills not only to care for patients but also to innovate and drive progress in the medical device industry. Who better to represent and support groundbreaking technology than the very people who know how it’s used in hospitals, outpatient centers, ambulatory surgery centers, and office-based labs (OBLs)?

We have the expertise, the problem-solving abilities, and the empathy to make a difference. Yet, so many of us don’t even realize that this path exists or feel like it’s out of reach. That’s why I created NurseElevator—to guide and empower you to take that step.

Not Everyone is Cut Out for Medical Device Sales (And That’s Okay)

Let’s be honest: medical device sales isn’t for everyone. I’ll even admit there were moments early on in my journey when I thought, “If I could go back to patient care, it would be such a relief.” It was what I knew, what felt comfortable.

But then I remembered why I left bedside nursing in the first place. Transitioning to medical devices wasn’t just a career move—it was a life transformation. It changed my family’s life. It gave me experiences I never dreamed of:

  • Personal Growth: I’ve learned so much about myself and the world beyond patient care. My mindset shifted entirely.
  • New Relationships: I’ve met inspiring people and made lifelong friends in an industry I didn’t even know I belonged in.
  • Travel and Freedom: I’ve traveled to incredible places, broadened my horizons, and found a work-life balance I never thought possible.

None of that would have happened if I had stayed within the same four walls of a hospital or outpatient center. And while bedside nursing will always hold a special place in my heart, I’ve come to realize that I’m using my degree—and my clinical skills—to the fullest now.

Nursing Schools Don’t Tell You This

When I was in nursing school, the path was clear: get your degree, pass your boards, and work at the bedside. That’s the way it had always been. But what they didn’t teach us is that our degrees and skills could open doors far beyond the bedside. They didn’t tell us we could become clinical specialists, territory managers, or educators for innovative medical device companies.

The truth is, I’m still a nurse. I’m just using my knowledge and experience to make a different kind of impact. And that’s what I want for you—to see the possibilities beyond the traditional path and find a career that aligns with your passions and goals.
